Description
Experimentation with variations on classic M&W twill threading and tie-up resulted in this draft that looks like long ribbons of roses. Woven in 8/2 Tencel, this shawl has a lovely, subtle sheen, to which the variegated yarn adds a rich depth of color.
Weave Structure: Twill
Equipment: 4-shaft loom at least 24″ wide, 1 shuttle, 1 bobbin, temple (optional but recommended)
Warp Yarn: Valley Yarns 8/2 Tencel (100% Lyocell, 3360 yds/lb), Gray Mauve 1197 yds, Dark Teal 418 yds; Valley Yarns Variegated 8/2 Tencel (100% Lyocell, 3360 yds/lb), Northern Lights 456 yds
