Description
Who doesn’t like a bag of goodies that you can also take on the go? A modern lightweight backpack for carrying all your holiday loot. It’s sure to bring joy to everyone you know. This project applies the technique of double weaving a tube to sewing a sweet drawstring bag without cutting your woven fabric.
Weave Structure: Double Weave
Equipment & Supplies: 4-shaft loom at least 20″ wide, 2 shuttles, 3 bobbins, safety pin, 4 yds of 3mm parachute cord (cut into 2yd lengths), 6″ of 1″ wide webbing, 1.5 yds of 45″ wide black cotton fabric for lining, bodkin, lighter
Warp Yarn: Valley Yarns 6/2 Cotton (100% unmercerized cotton, 2,520 yds/lb), Pine 1080 yds, Hunter 240 yds
Weft Yarn: Valley Yarns 6/2 Cotton (100% unmercerized cotton, 2,520 yds/lb), Pine 492 yds, Hunter 105 yds
