I love variegated yarn! It is my favorite yarn to work with as every row is a surprise combination of colours. Unfortunately not all patterns lend themselves well to variegated yarns and the more exciting the yarn becomes visually the fewer options there seem to be for patterns that work well with it. This pattern is designed specifically to work with yarn of many colours, whether hand dyed or commercially dyed. The textures and slipped stitches in Lamia are sure to showcase that beautiful skein to its fullest. Work this pattern in worsted weight for a quick gift knit and superwash for ease of care or change to any yarn weight you desire, gauge is not critical and this pattern is very easy to enlarge or shorten.
