ValleyYarns Hereford is a lovely women’s layering piece that reminisces the fun fashions ofthe ’60s knit in Westfield. This cardigan features a slip-stitch Thorn patternon the fronts only, making this a little retro, a little modern, and a lot offun with contrast color ribbing along the neck, cuffs, hems, and pocket edge.Hereford is knit flat in pieces from the bottom up, and then the shoulders areseamed. The sleeve stitches are picked up along the armhole edging, and workedin the round to the cuffs. Valley Yarns Westfield is a luxurious blend ofMerino, silk, and yak in a versatile DK weight. Each of the fibers in Westfieldtakes the dye slightly differently, resulting in beautifully nuanced shades thatwill add depth to your projects. The Thorn stitch pattern is charted andwritten out.
