From pattern:**These mittens are worked in the roundfrom the bottom up. The backs ofthe mitten are adorned with a uniquecabled motif.
EITHER worsted weight or DK weightyarn may be used; using worsted weight,the mittens should fit a ladies’ medium-largeor mens’ small-medium hand, andusing DK weight, the mittens should fita ladies’ small hand.
The design for these mittens was originallycommissioned by the Our Back40 yarn company as the “Cabled CityMittens” (pattern available only as a kitwith Our Back 40 yarn). The Almy CabledMittens and Cabled City Mittenspatterns differ only in that non-cabledsections are knitted in the former, andpurled in the latter.
Difficulty: Intermediate: skills included working inthe round on double pointed needles,reading a chart, cable knitting, decreases,and picking up stitches.
