Welcome to the second pattern in our Valley Yarns Designer inResidence series! With a bit of clever shaping, the Shawl Collar Stole by DorisChan is a meltingly soft stole that drapes beautifully and securely around theshoulders. The wide top band in gentle ribbing turns over to form asnuggly collar. The back is curved to create some roominess through the armsand allow the fronts to sit properly in front. The stole is just wideenough for comfortable coverage, but not so wide that you’re constantlysitting on the back. And the fronts have enough wrap-around length withoutgetting in your way. Valley Superwash Bulky makes the crocheting quick andsmooth, while the relaxed gauge and open lacy stitch pattern keep this stolesurprisingly lightweight yet cozy without being stuffy. The lace pattern is in written form.
