In designing this trio of baby blankets I wanted to create three baby blankets that can either be made individually or as a matching set. The colours used are the same for each blanket meaning they all compliment each other. I decided to choose colours that were a little different to the standard baby colours but of course, the colour choices are entirely up to you and can be made to match any colour scheme. I made the blankets to be the perfect size to go over a baby’s car seat or in a pram but, should you wish to make a bigger blanket the patterns would be easy enough to adapt. I have added details on this for each design. The star blanket is worked in moss stitch, with the stars being crocheted separately and stitched on afterwards. The checked blanket is worked in dc, with ‘stripes’ of coloured checks and the bobble blanket is worked in dc, with the bobble rows worked in to the pattern.
