Begin by working the back of the hood and set it aside. Using double knitting, work the extension section as a long strip to the desired length. Join the extension section to the edge of the hood and work them together. Continue working the extension section until completion.
Gauge / With 4.5 mm (US 7) needle:
20 sts x 25 rows = 10 x 10cm / 4 x 4″ in stockinette stitch after blocking. (This is provided for knitters to make a swatch and to use it as a guideline when selecting yarn)
42 sts x 24 rows = 10 x 10cm / 4 x 4″ worked in double knitting.
