Traditional baby colors often elude me. Pale Pinks, Yellows and Blues are rarely in my stash…Babies enter the world with a bang, so this little cap is named with a Native American word, “Taima,” meaning “thunder.” It makes a loud statement in the Hospital Nursery! Inspired by a piece of fabric with Native American and Southwestern motifs, it turns ten small balls of bold colors, or maybe ten balls of muted colors; tonals; even neutrals, greys, black, white into a unique, quick knit gift. The choice of colors will make these simple borders into the knitter’s unique creation. Little bits of favorite sweaters, scarves or other knitting projects will get new life in this cap.
