cable knitter’s delight! Even if you’re a fairly new cable knitter, this lovely, luscious cowl is dreamy to wear and knit.
It’s worked from end to end in a fairly simple, but complicated-looking, all-over cable stitch with some lace elements. Then, the cast on and bound off edges are sewed together to create the cowl shape. A naturally wavy edge is created at the top and bottom edges by the cable stitch pattern. The overall effect is a highly textured look done in a bulky yarn for maximum effect.
The merino wool blend gives the cowl great softness worn against the skin, plus a luxe look with just enough stitch definition and slight halo to make this look like an expensive designer purchase! Plus, the bulky weight of the yarn on big knitting needles makes this a great, quick project ideal for gift-giving too!
