Knitted loops create a textured body for these farmyard pals. Both Dougie Sheep and Clarissa Cow follow the same pattern for all pieces except the tail, but use different yarn shades to create two adorably huggable toys. You could also make these animals as doorstops, simply don’t add legs and put a weight (such as bag of dried rice) inside the body when stuffing. Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, the toys are knitted flat in acrylic DK yarns (not in the round). For confident beginners and above, other techniques used include casting on and off, knits, purls, knitting loops, short row shaping in garter stitch, increases and decreases, and seaming to finish. Each is approximately 26cm long x 26cm tall (not including tails or horns).
