Cubetcha is a boomerang shaped shawlette that was designed in a solid and speckle, Miss Babs Yummy 2-Ply in Caph (bright pink) and La Bien Aimée Twist Sock in Aimée’s Sweater (the soft speckle.) Singles also work well for this as does any skein of fingering/sock yarn that you love.
The StoryIf you follow my Instagram, you know that I’m occasionally tied up in Rubik’s Cubing competitions, surrounded by cubers wearing head mounted video cameras and solving cubes with their feet (gross, right?) or blindfolded.
A few months ago, my 10 year old, who is a Speed Cuber asked if he could go to the Cubing World Championships. Not thinking he’d even qualify (he’s only 10, his personal best is 14 seconds…well away from world record time) I said, “Sure.” But when he came back to me, he had qualified, gotten off the wait list (they admit 1000), and it was in – PARIS. So, watch what you say when you’re absentmindedly knitting!
