A floral lace pattern adorns the upperfront and back of this sleeveless tank,and the flower “stems” are carried intothe body of the tank, creating flatteringvertical lines. All edgings areself-finished; underarm gussets allow thearmhole edgings to continue unbrokenfrom underarm to shoulder, while keepingthe armhole from being too deep.
Madaket is a small village on NantucketIsland, and includes a beach and harborof the same name. It’s easy to get therefrom Nantucket town: just take MainStreet to Madaket Road, and headwest! The stitch pattern I used for thistank reminds me of the densely layeredgardens found in the compact yards ofmany Nantucket homes.
Worked in the round from the bottomup to the armholes.
