Description
Paintbox Yarns Cotton DK is a 100% cotton DK yarn in a large solid-shade palette. Each 50 g ball holds 137 yds (125 m) and knits to 22 stitches and 30 rows over 4″ on US 6 (4 mm) needles; recommended crochet hook F (4 mm). Paintbox Yarns is our own brand, designed in house.
The shades are designed to sit together, which is why this yarn turns up in colorwork: stripes, intarsia, fair isle, granny-square blankets and amigurumi. Cotton gives crisp stitch definition and no halo, so color changes stay sharp and shaping stays visible – and with no wool content it suits anyone knitting for a wool allergy, plus summer tops, baby items and washcloths.
Cotton starts firmer on the ball than wool and softens after the first wash.
Care: machine wash at 40℃, do not tumble dry, warm iron, do not bleach.
