A solid wrap with bold, graphic lines, Tanjong Pagar is worked sideways in wedges divided by contrasting spokes and a ruffled edge is worked in intarsia as you go.
The shawl starts with the super-simple provisional Winding Cast On which becomes the first garter-stitch spoke.
Six short-row wedges are worked to the final spoke, where the cast-off across the last and first spokes completes the top edge.
The bottom, semi-circular border is formed by a slightly ruffled horizontal rib which also features short rows.
