Valley Yarns Zephyr Shawl in 8-Shaft Atwater-Bronson Lace is a shawl designed to be a very lightweight fabric. The weft floats show the Aegean blue; warp floats on the reverse show Jade. In sunlight, the colors reflect some iridescence. The sett is lighter than the traditional sett for Zephyr, so you need to be careful with your beat, but the fabric is cloud-soft and perfect for its intended use.
Equipment: 8-shaft loom, minimum 30″ weaving width, 8-dent reed, one boat shuttle
Warp Yarn: 1728 yards 2/18 Jaggerspun Zephyr (50% Merino Wool/ 50% Silk; 5040YPP; 100g/1120yds) shown in Jade
Weft Yarn: 960 yards 2/18 Jaggerspun Zephyr (50% Merino Wool/ 50% Silk; 5040YPP; 100g/1120yds) shown in Aegean Blue (Color has been discontinued, and we recommend Marine Blue as a substitute)
Warp Length: 4 yards of 433 ends
Sett: 16 epi
