Notice that the primary stripes in this towel are in the center. That seemed to be a good place to place the stripes, because we usually fold a towel in thirds, hang it with the center facing out, and the visual interest is at the edges where we don’t see it!
The draft is adapted from Ester Perheentupa’s #41 draft in Davison, A Hand- Weaver’s Pattern Book,p.37.
Equipment: 4-shaft loom, minimum 24″ weaving width, 10-dent reed, one boat shuttle. Temple optional, but helpful.
Finished Size: approx. 17″ x 28″, hemmed, after machine wash and dry.
