Description
Linen is crisp and elegant and lends a distinguished touch to these lovely placemats. Huck lace using 8 shafts creates a complex overall pattern fit for dinner with the Dowager Duchess.
Equipment: 8-shaft loom, 18″ minimum weaving width, 1 shuttle, 1 bobbin, temple optional but helpful.
Warp & Weft Yarn: Valley Yarns 40/2 Half -bleached Linen (100% linen, 3300 yds/8.8 oz);
Warp: 1510yds
Weft: 700 yds
Warp Length: 3 yds of 503 ends for 2 placemats; add 26″ for each additional placemat.
Sett: 32 epi (2-3-3 in a 12-dent reed, 3-3-3-4 in a 10-dent reed)
